Congratulations! Who’d they pull? And is this a geo-restricted bank?

They pull EX primarily.  I'm not sure they are geo-restricted since some approvals (not many but from times past) seem to indicate they're pretty open.  Let's see if you can be our GP? Yes?  Smiley Very Happy

Hey @Anonymous Many congrats on this PNC approval.  IME, they've been a hard nut to crack, but it's all good.  When you submitted your app, did you do it via CK?  I don't think I've seen any advertisements lately there for it, maybe they'll run from me.

You’re willing to sacrifice me on the altar of Experian?!?! lol. It sounds like PNC might be one of those relationship-oriented banks like WF so I’d be somewhat...trepidatious to try lol

That is what i thought too, and i thought they were INQ sensative..   Neither of those turned out to be the case.. I have alot of INQ's and its the first thing i've ever had with PNC.   Unless they bought one of the banks that i had as a kid, but i'm sure those records would have been purged oh so long ago.

I had this card in mind when i first started my rebuild 2 years ago.  I knew that PNC was more relationship friendly and thought INQ sensative.  I know that Credit Karma odds are usually a joke, but it said i had a good chance and i do like the 4% for gas stations, so i took a shot being an OG goal card. After hitting submit, it stated that i would recieve an email with the decision in 2 days...

20 minutes later, i have recieved my email...  Approved and i have been upgraded to VS since my SL is 5k with 12mo 0% and 100/1000 spend bonus.

Stats:

EX 694

INQ's: 10 (well 11 now)

1 CO and CA (4yr old)

new accts:  7/6mo and 11/12mo

Income:  lower 5 figures.

No prior banking relationship

Thanks for the excellent DPs, Jago. Congratulations! on your approval.

Thanks @Anonymous   I like to help out however i can, and i know DP's are important.

Re: PNC Cash Rewards Visa

I checked their website and it looks like you can apply only if you are in certain states. Mostly the eastern states but Montana somehow made it in there lol. Colorado is not an accepted state so obviously no-go for me

Capital One Venture X : 30k
Amex Cash Magnet: 24.4k
Fidelity Visa: 21.5k
Apple Card: 16k
Discover It: 6.5k

Congrats I did the same with hubby after seeing it on CK, as I never heard of them. He was approved also for the Core visa, but I think we should have went for the cash reward lol.

We got card pretty quickly, pin a few days later but when I went to set up online access said info don't match LOL, still have to get hubby to call on that one. Oh and it reports very quickly on reports.

@Jnbmom  I had then same issue when using chrome, but IE/edge worked fine.  You can use chrome once its set u

Thanks we finally got the issue resolved, funny I had to keep telling DH to cal and when he finally did they said account was locked and they would unlock and send new pin. We got new pin and set up no problem, their online account site is kinda blah IMO lol
