OMG! I cannot believe that I was just approved for the Target RedCard almost 4 months post BK D/C. They were IIB too.
$500 limit/$300 temporary limit. That's what the online approval has for me. EQ pull with a 627 Fico 8 score.
BTW, I called first to ask which credit bureau they needed and they said they ALWAYS try EQ first and then resort to TU if needed.
Wow. Congrats! And thanks for the credit bureau intel.
I plan to apply at the end of this month or the next (depends on what my score looks like with this month's debt payments - I have a quite a few charge-offs & collections that I'm paying down.) I'm definitely looking forward to the instant 5% savings! Enjoy it! ![]()
YOU...

CONGRATS on your Approval, your Rebuild Successful start, and Thanks for the DPs!!!
Bam!
Thank you all so much! I was actually shocked, but hopeful. Thought I'd be getting $150 or $200 at the most. Wasn't expecting $500 by any means. ![]()
Congrats! That's surprising they approved so quickly after discharge, even more surprising when they were included in BK.
Just be sure to use that card, TD bank will CLD you within 6 months or so of non use. Redcard was one of my first approvals after my 2010 BK, I was in a store and the cashier pushed me to app and even the lady behind did as well, approved for $1200. But the thing is I rarely shop Target, stores are way out of the way while Walmart much more convenient. So I put that purchase on it and then didn't use it for next 7 months. Boom! CLD down to $200! I did a couple small online purchases but they would restore any of the CL so I closed it. Now I have a Redcard debit for the 1-2 online purchases per year for discount & free shipping.
Congrats on your approval!
Congrats on your new card!

Thank you!
I researched thoroughly before even attempting to apply. I went from having excellent credit and not even one denial for credit for years, to the situation I'm currently in. This is all new to me, but I'm reading, researching and being very careful. There are several who have been approved quickly out of bk and also some who even included them in their bk.

I had this card before. It was actually at $6000 as they kept giving me cli's without me asking. I hardly EVER used the card and kept getting increases. Only used it at Christmastime and a birthday here and there. TD also did the same with my Nordstrom card. lol
