Good thing I jumped in when I did! They probably would have denied me
Dang, they are conservative at heart!
I don't think I've ever seen that reason even though it could apply to me.
I'm also very glad I jumped in when I did!!
I got one of the only $25K limits right off the bat.
Sometimes, timing is everything.
@AlpedHuez wrote:I'm a little perplexed as to why some think they are getting tighter with their reviews. From all the datapoints submitted, it seems like they are approving people who have good profiles that any other lenders would also approve for (700+ credit scores, low DTI, good income, etc.). They haven't/aren't handing out 20k limits like candy (going by the datapoints supplied).
Also, I applied near the beginning of this whole ordeal, and after my rep told me he couldn't approve me because my DTI was too high, he offered to get me approved with a cosigner (which he did). There's been several people following me that were straight up denied because of DTI, I'm assuming without being given the cosigner option.

THANK YOU @CreditCuriosity --- I can relax now until my mailman comes!!
I was asked for income docs above and beyond the pic of a check stub. I was asked for W2 or tax returns. I sent them my 1099 which is only half of my declared income because my wife and I are both Realtors and we split our income. I was then told they were declining me due to dti issues. My utilization is about 10% so not sure what they are looking at?
Good luck.

To the 4/23 crew - just checked the mailbox, nothing here.
Got my card - they must have ran out of the ones with gold and this one is flimsy, thin and hideous.
perhaps I'll request a replacement in few months see if the go back to the old style
Can anyone with the "cheap, flimsy" cards post a picture for comparison?
Come on all read the other posts of mine in this thread. It is meant to be about approvals not about flimsy cards, not wanting to provide w-2's etc... This thread will be locked very shortly if people continue to not listen... Not trying to be a "jerk". You all can talk about denials in the application section, questions about benefits in CC section and card materials in smorgsboard. This is meant for approvals. This is the last time I will ask. Thank you.
