I keep looking at the luv button but I'm not sure if I wanna actually push it - yet. Congrats on your CLIs!

I decided to try the luv button after I PIF. I was instantly approved for a 8K CLI. My CL is 18K - my highest limit. I'm going to treat it like a new born baby.

Have you had your card a while?

DH just got Gold Visa w/ $5600 (added me as AU)

Thought we might hit the button to see what happens, but didnt want to put a black mark on the record if they say no.

if they say no, we're such chickens, we'll probably never ask again!!LOL

Re: A message to those with BOA cards wanting a CLI

As a rule of thumb:

Don't ask for a CLI more than once every six months UNLESS you've had a substantial change to your credit report and FICO score that put you in a more positive light. For instance, you apply for a CLI in March, with a FICO of 622 and a collection in 5/2007, and get declined. In May, you get the collection removed, and find yourself with a FICO of 670 and your last collection in 2/2006. By all means, apply again.

The bottom line is that CLIs aren't THAT important to your FICO. They're handy, and in the long run you definitely want to move up the food chain, but if you're keeping your balances low anyway, it's really just a number.
