Maybe because I live in Atlanta and Delta headquarters are here and they have direct flights to london and 12 times daily to New York and I get double sky miles and thats basically the only airline I fly and I can catch the train to the airport and I can use their airport lounge and they emerged from bankruptcy and now they fly direct to my wifes home country and they have a shoe shine stand in the terminal.

I just received a pre-approved offer for Blue - but waiting for a CLI and scores over 700 first.

Just curious, have you requested one and been denied? Are you in the waiting period before you're eligible to ask again?I'm asking because I'm in a similar situation as you. I saw where you've posted that you ran $3K through your card on a $1K limit. I'll be doing about the same, but so far haven't been able to make multiple payments in a month (first statement just cut this week). I wonder if doing several iterations of charge up, PIF, charge up, PIF, etc etc will get the hint across that you (we) need a larger CL to support our spending pattern.

the 30 days are up today- (Since my denial for CLI)
Card is now 6 months old-
I am waiting for the statement to cut and my new score to post
Only ran $1700 though it this month (21st to today) back down to a $12 balance-
If they don't get the hint - something seriously wrong-
I also did it to get the extended warranty's on some gifts.
atldragon wrote:IMO the best way to use the Delta is get a charge card as well. You can buy all your stuff on the charge card and buy the miles on any airline including Delta. Heck they give you 15K miles after the first purchase. It only takes 25K miles to get a R/T domestic. I can earn a free trip every 3 months.

Except that since I wasn't able to make a payment before the first statement cut, when my card reports for the first time, it's going to show a $412 balance on a $1K CL. That's going to sting for a bit.Good luck to you when you decide to hit the button.
