You have to be invited and the min spen is 250K.
Just curious, why would you want the Centurion card if you frown on the cost of the $7,500 AF? If your gross YTD expenditures on your Platinum are >$180K, then the AF should be no issue.

Alot of folks who have obtained the Centurion Card qualified through business expenses not personal disposable expenses. So the onetime $7500 fee and the annual fee of $2500 is a deterrent to many that want the card.

Yeah I know that but is the calendar year or from the time u got the card???
Since my business one I got in April, by April I will have def spent over 250k..lol
Actually no one really knows what the new spend requirements are now. The new "guidlines" are you need to be invited and to be invited you have to meet a certain spend requirement that is not disclosed. Some people think its over $500K but no one has confirmed this.

I guess it would depend on which version the OP has. Usually the biz Centurion could be much easier to obtain than the personal version (elegibilit/requirements were tightened). In some respect, if the individual sees a fit for this product given the benefits (business or personal) and happens to be in the affluent or HNW/UHNW sphere, $7,500 (and subsequent AFs) are a drop in the bucket.
The number of centurions being issued have been very limited lately for various reasons.
First the amount of spending required is more than 250k, and for personal cards it must be on luxury goods & services.
The second thing to keep in mind is that spending levels alone won't get you an invite. Amex is looking for people who fit the image they want associated with that product. Therefore celebrities and high level corporate execs will often fit the bill, but a random person with high levels of spend may not.
