BARCLAY CLI what should I ask for

Yea, I know but figured maybe if they are losing a customer they would do something , it is what it is , I will keep the card but not put any usage into it , I will stick with my Slate card and cap ones

kdm31091 It's funny how a lender can threaten you and it's no biggie but if you threaten a lender it is "childish"...That's the problem is that these mega banks do not care about the consumer anymore. All they care about is sucking as much profit as possible from the consumer...

I agree but the fact is they don't care about threats. If you are unhappy you take your business elsewhere. Thats all. Threats will accomplish nothing.

That is true , I am just here like everyone else trying to build myself and credit up , I see alot of people who post they got this and that with BK , I dont have any BKs, and also lower scores than I have , I am trying to do what everyone else is doing and build up a great credit history and line .

As far as Im aware a lender doesnt really threaten anyone. They take specific actions based on different risk factors and since its their money we're all playing around with they have every right to do so even though it might suck for us.

But since we're well aware of this thats exactly why issuing threats of account closure is childish. They could care less so why bother with the tantrums. If you dont like how a lender treats you move on, none of them would have any problem doing so if they felt we were no longer acceptable as customers. Diversification is key!

Totally understandable But every situation is different. No one here went from 0 to 100 in the credit world overnight. I kind of shot past a few obstacles in the beginning but thats more due to lack of patience and my general stubborn nature than anything. For most here time and patience lead to a great credit profile in the future.

I have currently 3 cap ones total of $9800 and 2 barclays $6K and a chase slate of $1300 as far as majors go , been trying for discover and amex and had no luck as of yet so I really do not need the increase but figured just a way to bring down util from about 10% to maybe 7%, that is the only reason for the request . Let me ask your opinion and advice , on the Chase SLate which I got about a month ago with $1300 sl , I did a BT of 1200 and just PIF , should I pull the trigger and ask for a CLI ?
