I wonder if they are nerf in the chase sapphire too, though Mong indicated the portal might not be that enticing anyway (don't have one, so can't see. Just found out today about Amex's free shop runner membership, and slowly learning about the other perks in the program).AMEX is stepping it up in everything but the Lifetime bonus limit and the fact they STILL don't give any type of free FICO score, Unless you count pressing CLI button daily and getting a letter a few days later a free FICO score.
I am not really loyal to any particular card, I know they could care less about me so why should i feel the same about them. I just pick and choose whomever is offering big signup bonus i wouldn't mind taking advantage of. The one i am looking for next is Alaska air hopefully offering another 50k signup bonus, I like them because their points are pretty valuable.

My scores are so topsy turvy right now, I'm sick if scores,
i won't be taking advantage of that loophole for awhile.

I just looked at your scores the EQ EX differential is probably the biggest i have ever seen :-( I wish there was an place i could get reliable ex score, without abusing the system.
I was probably the biggest whiner about amex during the whole summer. I would see friends get 50k signup bonus for PRG, with scores about 150 less than me and paper thin aaoa. Once i realized that they don't care for me as an customer then i got over it . Just have to find what card is best for me no matter who the CCC is.

I will have to see how this all plays out, maybe chase thinks they are losing out money by people booking thru the travel portals. Who knows really? It seems like more an UR thing than an CSP only thing ?
As you wish, correction. The sapphire also offers 2x through the travel portal (I remember comparing cards). Still thinking I like the arrival plus for later.

It's funny...
AMEX has been loyal to me as i've been to them.
When my other CC's went into lates and eventually C/O. I clung to them and did everything I could to not default.
In return, they never CLD'd me from $5,000 even when my scores took a nosedive into the 500's.
To this day, the only negative things I have to say about them come from my Wife's experience with them. She has NEVER gotten a CLI on her Costco TE card in 4 years. CS always seems to be snippy with her, to the point she made me account manager so I would deal with them instead. Now they're trying to bogart her 25K MR bonus on the PRG. She met the spend same as I did and my Points showed up Immediately after meeting the spend.

ok i stand corrected.
As far as arrival plus goes, and to lesser extent venture. For me i would rather get something like fidelity amex or DC after first year and signup bonus. I don't spend enough to make it worth my while.

That is because ex is done with the early exclusion. Eq needs to wait till mid this month or next month (I talked about it in garden club, now thread )
planning in slightly higher eq score, since AAOA will be a bit longer, only report showing a closed capital one card in good standing from 2007.

My EQ is slightly higher due to higher aaoa and less HP since nobody pull eq except CU and discover lol. Chase and Amex and Citi all pull ex :-( I am waiting for my EDP to start reporting with backdating back to 95, hopefully that will give me a nice boost on my ex to match TU and EQ :-)
