CSR sure is popular here...

I was in charge of a pop-up sample sale for my work this weekend and I think about 45-50 of 70 of the transactions that I swiped cards for were Sapphire Reserves(only about 3 Sapphire Preferreds). I think this card won't have any trouble sticking around with a $550 AF.

The card is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon.

Only two Platinums, one Gold, and a BCE. I was a little surprised.

I swipe cards at work too. I use it as an opportunity to check out what they're all like in real life. It's quite difficult at times to keep a balance of trying to look at/feel a ramdom persons card while not looking like you're a total stranger danger! LOL

Other than for airfare, a greater many cards have greater rewards rates than Amex Platinum.
Also, it feels pretentious to use Amex Platinum in person but sometimes I need to to meet minimum spend for a retention offer.

Right, but unless the pop-up sale was some sort of dining/travel category, the same could be said of the CSR, which was heavily used.

Re: CSR sure is popular here...

Just wait until that new annual fee hits. Most of those people probably don't even know about the new fee... but they will soon...

I got rid of my CSR because of the annual fee, which is too bad for Chase, because they were making money off of me then. My father has the CSR, and he doesn't even get close to using the benefits, but as he is in his 60s, he's all about the finer things in life and he thinks that metal Chase card is one of those things.

Thanks for sharing this data. It is interesting! I wonder if your crowd was a specific demographic. Rich, older people who travel frequently?
