Re: Cap 1 main puller is TU

When I get denied for a CLI, they reference both EQ and TU, mostly EQ.

There is no simple answer to that. Your entire profile is "evaluated" and that includes data present on all three.

Cap One is not particularly score sensitive, but if your collections are recent, you may hit a snag

Same with recent accounts/inq.

Give their prequal tool a try, it's usually fairly reliable when you get prequal. Absence of one does not necessarily indicate a denial.

My Savor One approval they sent me the “price you pay for credit” letter with my Experian Bankcard 3 score on there.

I would just garden honestly, didn’t NFCU just give you like $36K in credit between a new card and CLI?

I dont think that's a fair statement. Didn't you just apply for four cards or something along those numbers?

Op may have their reasons for wanting this particular card. You seem to be able to justify each app, I dont see why there is an automatic "stop" response to the OP without additional information.

This pretty much. If people stopped applying once they got approved for what they got then people wouldn't post asking if they were good for additional lines of credit. And if people kept applying despite being declined from other places then they apparently didn't learn anything not addressing the issues with the declines.

It wasn’t an automatic stop, it’s a recommendation because of the negative info that OP has had added to the other bureaus. OP was freaking out about possibly losing their NFCU approval when asking for a CLI last night, it seems reasonable to suggest gardening and working to get the negative info off the report first.

Re: Cap 1 main puller is TU

Gardening after any  approval is reasonable for most profiles. We both know that's not how it works for some, though.

Best we can do is address issue on hand and answer the question in the OP.

Now, if OP asks if they should be applying in the first place, that may completely change the response, especially in the light of other apps/approvals OP received.

However, that was not the question and addressing it without being asked gets very close to proselytizing in my opinion.

Echoing what @Remedios mentioned above, you will likely encounter an issue with the collection(s) being present on the other 2 CRs.   TU might be fabulous, but since everything is evaluated as a whole, the results may not be in your favor.

I would seriously give it some thought @Jccflat.  But, if you want to pull the trigger and take those chances, go for it.  I always say that DPs are always welcome and valuable Smiley Tongue.   Just keep in mind that if declined, there's no reconsideration.

Re: Cap 1 main puller is TU

Yea I just got 36k from nfcu
And I’ll wait with cap 1 since I want the savor card and I need first to spend the 4K on the flagship
Or I might just stick to the 2 navy cards that I have since my goal is to get a third one
And I read they like if someone is exclusive using navy only I guess that’s why I got such a big credit increase Last night
