Re: Capital One CLI question

I have decided that it would best best to wait a full 6 months until after October 5th passes. I'll be able to pay off more of the interest free 15 month special balance anyways by then which would work in my favor of an increase.

Re: Capital One CLI question

The balance is now $1,071.84 out of the $1100 available credit. I just logged into the app and saw the last $30 payment post and then there was a message for me to confirm my ion one info to be granted an invited increase. Should I pay more if the balance in order for the best chances of a bigger increase or is it fine to do it now? The reason I haven't paid down the balance more is because of a trip I was saving for plus I have the card 15 months interest free.

Re: Capital One CLI question

Well I just requested the increase two days ago and got the 2-3 notice which I read is usually a denial and it was. I just wish I knew immediately or does somebody human have to take time to compose a letter? I tried 4 times in a row and got 4 digital letters back. The sole reason they stated was that my average monthly payments were too low. I always paid at least $5 more than the minimum to sometimes $10 or $15 because I have the no interest option for 15 whole months and am saving for something else big. Guess that didn't satisfy them but I can try again in 3 months. Wonder why I got a $100 increase back in April when the card was only 3 months old and I was making the same kind of payment amounts?

When does your 15 month interest free period end? What I would do is take the money you have saved for the trip, put it on the card to show a large payment (maybe break it up over two months), then give the card use while putting the cash you would have spent back to your savings. You'll still be taking advanage of the interest free period while showing healthy payments and use.

Re: Capital One CLI question

I think I will go on that trip later this year perhaps in July or August. The 15 month promo ends April 1st this year.
