I just received an email notifying me that my Capital One card has been upgraded to a World Mastercard. What does that mean? Is this a good thing?
It means you get a shiny WORLD logo on the card
You'll have to read the doc's to see if there are any actual benefits that are useful to you.
That's all?!! LOL well that kinda sucks. LOL Thanks for the reply.

Here's a page with a link to all the various Capital One Benefits guides: https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/benefits-guide/
Wanted to add a data point here. Capitalone gave me my first credit card nearly 7 years ago. It was the bottom barrel "Capitalone Platinum" card with a $300 credit limit. I had like a 550 credit score at the time.
Since then I've increased my credit score to low 700's, and I now hold their Capitalone Quicksilver not the Capitalone Quicksilver One card with the annual fee.
Oddly enough, I've only had this Quicksilver for maybe a year now and my credit limit on it is only $900. I've been maxing it out each month and paying of 99% of the balance before due date, and statement close date. I just received the same email mentioned by the original poster. I should note that I've spent the last few months in europe for work, and I've been using this as my primary card since Amex acceptance out here is spotty. No idea if that was calculated into my upgrade.
The thing that is so peculiar to me is my current poverty credit line. $900 and they want to upgrade me to a Master Card World? I'm assuming once I return home and activate the card, it will automatically bump my credit line up. Will see if I can chat with someone at capitalone today to figure this out.
