I didn't read the whole thing, sorry. 15 pages. But I was wondering if anyone upgraded from QS1 to QS1 just for the heck of it. Would you get charged a second annual fee right away?
I get to keep my annual fee, And the same limit! 😕

I used the OPs link and it looked like the upgrade on offer was the exact same card -- QuickSilver to QuickSilver. I expected it to stay at Platinum, but I upgraded it nonetheles. Yesterday I received the email that my new card has shipped. For grins, I went into the Benefits section of my account and it now shows this account is a World Mastercard! Wow. I really didn't expect this.
Now when I click the link, it is giving me the option to upgrade my Venture One to another Venture One. This account is a Visa Platinum (see screenshot). I'm going to accept the upgrade and who knows, maybe it will be the Visa Signature?
This is very interesting... is your credit line $5k or greater? I actually have the same scenario... an "offer" to upgrade a QS MasterCard to a QS Mastercard (as well as Venture One).
In my case, my QS is a platinum benefits-level account, and my credit line is $4900... $100 short from what is usually said to be required to get a WMC if you do a PC (say, to a Venture One for example, which is what I was planning to do once I cross $5k). It's my oldest bankcard (by many years) so I have no interest in closing it but I admit it would be cool to get it as a WMC.
Capital One seems to have tightened up on CLIs just when $5k was within my reach on this card... my six-month wait was up a few weeks ago, but like many others my CLI was turned down due to lack of use and inquiries, neither of which were issues in the past.
I'm interested to hear if WMC might be available to accounts with credit lines under $5k now; I know that for a while it's been possible to get a GM WEMC with a small credit line, but I've not read of an upgrade to WMC with a CL under $5k yet.
Thank you so very much for this link!!!! I just check and was able to upgrade my platinum to QS1 and about 3 months ago I was able to upgrade another CO platinum I had with them to QS. I have another question but be gentle lol..I am a newbie here. .....but what is the difference between QS and QS1?

UncleB, my offer was the same -- another QS or PC to Venture One; I chose the QS offer. Also, my QS CL was $7,800 but a week ago received a CLI to $8,550. I also have a CLI offer outstanding on my Venture One. They're offering a CLI from $3,000 to $3,500. I haven't accepted that offer as of yet as I'm waiting for my latest statement to cut with a large payment, so hoping the CLI offer will be higher after that. Slightly off topic, but I do think the Capital One large spend, large pay routine does still produce CLIs. It's a YMMV thing, but it's still working for me.
Back on topic, I'm excited as this will be my first World Mastercard so can now take advantage of some of the Mastercard Priceless offers that are only available to WMC and WEMC holders.
Let us know what decision you make on your upgrade offers...

This is good to hear... my QS Visa Signature ($10k) will be eligible for a CLI in June, and it's had significant usage - it was actually 'maxed' last month - so I'll be a bit disappointed if they don't at least offer me something on that one.
I also have a Venture WEMC at $10k, and depending on what happens with the QS Visa I'll probably merge the Venture into the old QS MasterCard, then see if I can get it upgraded (using the link) to a WMC. While it might (?) work now with a sub-$5k CL, since you can only 'PC' every six months I would prefer not to be the GP on this one.
For anybody wondering why I don't just convert the Venture into a QS WEMC and close the QS 'platinum', it's because of the account age. I would rather have a 10 year old WMC than a six-month old WEMC, since in truth I'm not likely to use the perks of either for quite some time (if ever).
