Quick question -- there are a lot of pages on this forum and I'm at work or else I'd look through every page for my answer.

Cap1 Platinum was the first unsecured card I was approved for as I was rebuilding. Cap1 offered me an upgrade from Platinum to Quicksilver (not One), same credit limit of $300 (LOL), no annual fee, same APR. Is it worth it to upgrade?  I'm still going to SD this card as I have an AmEX ($500 CL), Discover IT ($1,200 CL), Chase FU ($1,500 CL), BofA Travel Rewards ($3,700 CL), and NFCU Go Rewards ($2,100 CL).

Hmmmmm.....

Also no annual fee!

Re: Capital One check for upgrade link

My Platinum card didn't have an AF either... I did the upgrade because it wasn't a hard pull and I've been told Cap1 grows Quicksilvers a lot more frequently than Platinums. Heck, I may check the LUV button.

What I use (& strongly recommend): Chase Sapphire Reserve | BofA/ML (Premium Rewards VS, Cash Rewards VS, Merrill+ VS) | AmEx (Amazon Prime Business)

What I have: NFCU | PenFed | General Electric CU | Wright Patt CU | Discover | BBVA | Apple Card (GS)

Total CL with Bank of America = $100,000 (Platinum Honors Merrill Client). I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, so feel free to message me if you have any planning/credit questions.

I tried a CLI on my unsecured Platinum last month and had no luck, but I might try again sometime this month now that I've upgraded. I'm advised my Credit Steps auto-CLI for after the 5th statement cut is still on (I got the card originally in February, so I expect Credit Steps in August).

I tried it just now and it's still working for me... you might want to try a different browser.  Smiley Wink

If it says the current offer is no longer valid then it just means you are not eligible.  If it says this feature is no longer available then the link is not working.

Aha, so that's why I couldn't get it before yesterday! I was puzzled as to why I got that "no longer valid" message when I didn't remember being offered it before.

I found if I'm using my iPhone it won't work. But on my IPad or Mac it works just fine, since it started working again of course Lolol

Re: Capital One check for upgrade link

Well I'll be damned...it's still working on Chrome (desktop). I have a Platinum rewards and my 6 months is coming up in July to app for another card. Should I just upgrade now to the Quicksilver offer? Then what would I app for next month?

App for whatever you want and then combine CLs back into your oldest card if it's a rewards card you use and like.
