"Platinum" in this case is the Visa or MasterCard branding. The Capital One branding is Quicksilver. Capital One uses a mixture of Visa/Mastercard and their own branding when identifying their cards in your online account.
Thank you avp99 for responding, I was a little concerned as mine still doesn't show the change for QS1 (showed up as Platnium MC w/ QS1 Benefits) to QS on the website and has received no notification. Guess I'm just a little inpatient. Did you receive a notification when the card was mailed? I know Capital One typically sends those out.
Thank you Heaven for that additional information, guess I will wait 48 hours and see if it shows up. Also thank you for the info on the CLI's, I'm just slightly discouraged with C1 as I've had it for 6 years and have only received marginal CLI's over the years non being automatic besides the Credit Steps. Aside from that most of the $2,400 credit limit was established from card combinations, 1 from another C1 card and another that was purchased by C1 from HBSC. I talked to executive resolutions earlier about another matter, and they couldn't see the changes aside from the fact I was already earning 1.5% cashback but is still showed QS1 with a $19/AF. Hopefully it'll update soon, thank you both again for your response and feedback about the process.

yea it kinda odd the website does not show the QS upgrade I got, Still shows Platinum and even the Apple Pay card is Cap1 MC Platinum. however, the physical card I was sent is a QuickSIlver. They never sent a notification that the card was mailed.

Thanks,,, I did call C1 and they essentially said the same thing. It will not say Quick Silver online, but the card I received is Quick Silver
I have two Cap1 cards. One is a Visa and the other a MC. I thought both were QS. I called about two years ago and asked. CS said they were both QS. The cards don't state one way or another on the plastic. I was/am getting the QS rewards on both. Last week, after reading these posts I saw the MC was eligible to grow to QS on the Cap1 site. I hit the mark and it is now a QS. Cap1 has emailed me that my new card is on its way. Maybe some of their cards have the benefits of QS and the name of Platinum.
There are the Capital One Platinum and QuicksilverOne products. They're almost certainly a Visa Platinum or Platinum Mastercard (i.e. not Visa Signature, etc.).
And there are Capital One Quicksilver, Savor, and VentureOne products. They could be Visa Platinum, Platinum Mastercard, Visa Signature, World MasterCard, or World Elite Mastercard.
The Capital One Venture will be a Visa Signature, World MasterCard, or World Elite MasterCard.
Your online account could conceivably use any of those names to identify your card. In my case, I have a Quicksilver that's also a Visa Platinum. And I have a Quicksilver that's a Platinum Mastercard. Both of those cards are identified in my online account as Quicksilvers. I also have a third Quicksilver that's identified in my online account as a World MasterCard.
I decided to give the link a try. I did bankruptcy in Sept, and discharge was in December. I applied for a cap1 card in November, was approved for the platinum card with a $300 limit. I just PCd to the QS card, the only thing that changed for me was now I get the rewards. I decided to hit the request credit increase button and I was given $100 from 3 to 4 hundred. I then the prequalification link and said I was pre-approved for the QS1 card with an AF of $39. I applied but didn't get an immediate response. The customer service center was already closed, so I'll call tomorrow and find out if I was approved or not. Thanks for the info OP

1. It didn’t take long for me, as soon as I return to the home page it showed as a QS.
2. I didn’t receive an email.
3. It took me a week, I did the PC on a Saturday tho.
4. I haven’t received an CLI, but I’ve read on here QS are more likely to receive them.
I dont know if it is tied to being a QS or not, but ive had the Platnum card for 2 years now and only had 1 CLI on request of $250. Using the link it upgraded to a QS no CLI. paid off $200 last week, check my accounts today, $2000 CLI no request! I take back what ive said about Capital One being stingy lol (sort of)
