I just upgraded my Venture One to a QS. Sounds better on paper, but I'm unclear what this means in the real world. Did this actually move me out of subprime status or is this just a name change and rewards that are easier to access? I've heard people say that CLIs might be easier, and that would be nice. I've had the Venture One for 3 years and have literally never received a CLI. Always denied. I built it up to $6900 by combining a couple of other cards, but no love on the V1 itself no matter what I do. After upgrading to QS, I hit the luv button and got a "we'll let you know" which is probably still no, but better than my usual hard no right out of the gate, right?
Just upgraded my Platinum MC to QS. I have an option to pc to Venture One as well. I will apply this summer for Venture. I pc my platinum one week before my third statament to be cut.
I was offered a QS for my sub prime platinum. I just got the new card. On the back it says Platinum and the rewards booklet is for platinum as well. As far as getting rid of the AF, am I still in sub prime land ?
Maybe something changed ? When I asked for a cli, I got a different page that asked the usual plus how much will I spend on the card monthly, and how much cli did I want. I've never seen that before.

This is something new that's showing up for everyone lately.

I've had my Capital One Platinum card since October 2008. The option it gives me is Venture with the $95 annual fee or Venture One with no annual fee. I currently get cash rewards at 1.5% as if it was a Quicksilver. I would love to upgrade it to the Savor card but I don't think they'll let me do that.
