Card Line Up 2019

I’m going with a Cashback/MR lineup in 2019.

AMEX Gold - 4x points on Restaurants/Supermarkets and 3x on flights

Savor - 4% back on Entertainment and also where Amex isn’t accepted

Venture/Fidelity Visa - 2% back on everything else. (Will switch to Fidelity when I PC venture in June)

I also have the special situational cards I use depending on the circumstance but I don’t carry them all the time.

Going to try to keep it nice and simple. I only spend maybe 120$ a month on gas so I don’t see any point in designating a card for that.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I'm thinking about switching all to Cash Back/MR combo as well with Amex.

If you are comfortable with small business cards i would look at amex 2x MR card, instead of Venture/fidelity. If you are going to go in MR i would go all in and try and maximize your MR earning oppurtunities.

Cash back when I want Citi benefits.

Likely some bonus chasing but with no long-term commitments to additional rewards programs.

I don’t have a business so that wouldn’t work for me. I don’t necessary want to go all in MR since I have (or will after I hit Gold SUB) plenty of MRs that should hold me over for awhile. My MR balance is sitting at 45k now but after I hit sub I’ll be close to 100k.
