Nice linkage, Swift.
I'd never seen that before. I'll keep that handy for August.
What is not clear is the direct deposit conditions.
On the top part of the paperwork, it says it needs to be a monthly direct deposit from the government or employer.
On the bottom section of the paperwork where it actually lists the 3 conditions that need to be met for the $200 bonus, it says you need to have the direct deposit made 60 days from account opening, money cannot be held by Chase, it needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension, or government benefits from your employer or the government. It doesn't say anything about it being on a monthly basis.
I guess I can just give it a shot and see what happens.

You sure the monthly language at the top wasn't in reference to how to avoid a monthly maintenance fee?
BTW, I have a coupon code for $200 for opening a Chase Total Checking account, no DD requirement. Expires 6/14/12. First one to PM me gets it.
I'm sure it is not referencing to avoiding fees on the checking account.
This paperwork is spefically for the bonus. It even says "Coupon Receipt" on the top.

Is that branch specific?
Just asking. I can't get a bonus until August.

Nope. Any branch is fine and it says you can also use the code online too.
Cool, someone should really jump on that.
I do one, once a year. But mine are branch specific.
I called last week and they said I should have to bonus deposited into my account on the 19th. I checked yesterday and didn't see it in my account. Then I logged in today and there it is! Weird thing is that it has a transaction date of the 19th...
