I would be furious if or when this happens to me. I would call them, demand it be removed. Then I'd file a complaint with the CFPB.

Welcome to the club! 🤬🤬

Don't bother calling, it's a complete waste of time.  File a complaint with CFPB.

I'd call them this instant but it's a Federal holiday 😭

I'm at 101+ days on my Amex card and I was going to request a cli but I was waiting until two weeks after my score update on the Amex website😩now my score has dropped 4 points.

This wasn't supposed to affect our credit.
I just don't understand this. Comenity doesn't even soft pull my credit without permission from me, by way of a phone call, when I ask for cli because of the fraud alert on my CR. So why would they hard pull it for no reason?

I'll be filing with the CFPB, now.

Re: Comenity

Wonderful, now the processing payment that disappeared is back and processed but I have a second processing payment because I didn't think the first one was still processing.😡 So frustrating. Why did that payment disappear totally yesterday and then reappear today?
Im more mad at the hard pull than this. It's just a mess.

Re: Comenity

These businesses like them should be way more strictly tightly licensed implimenting Internal/External Account Online Technology and any deviations adversely affecting cardholder accounts like we see with these many weeks should been shut down Immediately (until resolved) and expanded state side Call Centers opened and allow customers to receive their information and assurances.

As is it's a wild west debacle where anything goes and the heck with the consumer or their credit standings.

Yeah...and see, that's the true fallout here.

Comenity can (and will) fix any nonsense that is happening with their accounts.

But when their problems cause sensitive lenders to initiate AA based on credit reports that have erroneously and negatively caused damage, who answers for THAT?

Imagine people who have accounts with soft-pull happy CCCs. All it takes in this economic environment is one reported late payment or unauthorized inquiry to trigger action that can send shockwaves through someone's credit reports.

In my wallet: Local Credit Union $25,000, Northwest Bank VISA $25,000, AMEX BCP $10,000, Discover IT $10,000

Re: Comenity

And this is the Twitter answer I get. Their response is BS and has nothing to do with my issue.

Re: Comenity

Omg I just called Comenity and the lady told me to dispute it with the credit bureaus. I asked for a supervisor and she said "we don't have a credit department here" WHAT? I asked for a supervisor for goodness sakes OMG I WANT TO PULL COMENITYS HAIR Out!!😭😭😭

I said "you generally can't dispute hardpulls through the credit bureaus if it isn't fraud or everyone would do it and get them removed. I need the hard pull to be removed and the credit card company who initiated it has to do that."

"you'll just have to dispute it"

I can't with these people.
