Its like amateur hour over there.....they need to just close operations at this point.  All I know is I beeter not have any late payments or impacts to my credit as a result of their debacle!!!

Agreed. I wish there was some responsible regulatory agency to simply shut down their operations (a week ago) completely and compensate the millions of affected cardholders. As is they are being allowed free reign to continue to run amuck with absolutely NO CALL CENTERS PERSONNEL to help people at least catch up payments or CLOSE ACCOUNTS-  WITH A REAL PERSON WHO CAN ASSIST and not be double charged while others are prevented from normal access to accuracy of their accounts etc.

 

This is way over the top a full on complete meltdown of Alliance Data Systems who took over Comenity as Bread and have trashed it and many of it's cardholders of ONCE a much better run Comenity in the worse possible way imaginable. 

 

And is still not stopped yet- 3 weeks running so far for me

Comenity sent me a bill for $0.49 today.  While the amount is accurate, they have always written off small balances such as this.  I'm sure this is the new normal after the system "upgrade".  Apparently they are in such poor financial shape they can no longer afford that 49 cents per month.  Which is a shame, because that 49 cents was always much happier staying in my bank account.

So here is the latest debacle....I called last week to set up a payment through my bank......but with all of their issues I called back the other day, and noticed that nothing had been processed and I still had over a 2K balance.   Since they hadn't acknowledged that payment, I sent through a payment via Bill Pay from my bank for about 2500.  I call this morning to make sure it was processed and the automated system says I now have a CREDIT of 2400!!!  I'm not trying to give them any more money than what I owe,  how will I get these funds back?  Especially with the incompetence going on right  now.   I'm now sitting on hold....but have no hope of actually speaking to a person.

 

They need to bring in outside assistance.....someone...... anyone to get their systems back online.  It is totally irresponsible to be down 3 weeks as a major bank.

I did the same on 7/1 and 7/3, made a double payment because the first disappeared after showing it was "processing" . I made a second payment and the next day both had been processed and credited🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyways, once the social media rep called me he took care of that first thing and said he'd refund it but it turns out they had already started a refund since I had also contacted them through secure messaging. 

Send a a ecure message and let them know of the double payment. They will refund. I believe a lot of people had the same issue as Twitter is swamped with posts about the exact issue we have.

Where would I do secure messaging?  When I called after being on hold for 30 minutes she said she could issue a credit and that it would take 5 business days.....I also just thought about using the card credit until I reach a 0 balance again....but that would require me to write down and keep track of those purchases.

 

Have they reported your balance this month to the bureaus?

Bank card. Cap1 has the store card.


IF you can log on to your Comenity Bankcards there should also be a LOCK mechanism that shuts off useage of the card. You may already be aware of that. Until the dust settles and controls return to normal efficiency again i have since locked mine and won't use them until this matter is settled. Whenever that might be. I read a FB Post where someone claims to have got through to a Rep who said it might be another week or so. Frankly like others i don't know diddily either when things will ever return to normal operation with them again.
