Yes.  Preach!

ETA:  So I like the Approvals forum.  I think it's cool to see folks accomplish their goals.  But, I do wish people were better about sharing DPs.  This is true for the whining posts in the Applications forum.  I am not thirsty for your tears.  I'd like to who they pulled, your score, relevant derogs, inquiries, new accounts.  So I get the complaints about just looking for congrats or support, actual data would be really great too.  I'll give you an e-hug, but in exchange I'd like info.

Re: Constant gripes with individual lenders

To be fair (a bad habit, but still) my recall is that the Approvals thread was created to move that sort of stuff out of the main credit card forum, so that those that didn't care to read them could easily avoid.  (And those that liked that sort of thing, now had a place to go).   So I shouldn't really complain as I don't have to read them..

Re: Constant gripes with individual lenders

I don't see what the problem is with celebrating other people's accomplishments. Many are proud of their approvals, their rebuild, how far they've come, etc., or they simply want to share DPs.
Nothing wrong about being happy for them, and showing some love is great even if it comes from a complete stranger.

I get that some people don't care for the cheerleading, but really, who doesn't like to be recognized or congratulated for something you consider an accomplishment or success?

This is completely random, but sometimes I ride my motorcycle and people lower their windows at a light just to say, "Hey nice bike" and give me the thumbs up. While I didn't buy my bike to go around town and show off, I'm not a complete sociopath who doesn't appreciate the compliment either. So, I give a thumbs up back and say thanks.

Re: Constant gripes with individual lenders

As Remedios stated earlier, this thread was not meant to be a discussion of the merits of the Approvals forum (I use it for data points constantly and am thankful for it and those that provide data points), but rather replying to threads concerning specific lenders merely to slag the lender.

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Re: Constant gripes with individual lenders

Because some people just can't handle the truth.  Be it Arrogance; narcissism; jealousy to name a few.  The world is rotating faster and you have the fast and furious crowd that would like to twirl a finger and poof, there it is!!!  I must say that this forum has a lot to do with this, how you ask, well, we are not to say what is not good for a seeker of knowledge, only tell them how to get to all of those credit lines.  Not give them

the truth, only mask it a little.  That tortoise took more than a day to beat that rabbit and it just aint fair.
