Does anyone believe in it or think you can have a addiction to credit cards. I says yes or maybe a shopping addiction.

Re: Credit Card Addiction

Absolutely !!!!!

As a reformed alcoholic I definitely see the tendencies to have the thrills associated with application process.

All addictions follow the same patterns at heart and applying over and over is really just like gambling. A high when you succeed , the anticipation of a reward , the need or want to do it again even when you tell yourself you won't, etc.

That's why there's a Sleigh/Concorduser Center.

Re: Credit Card Addiction

Absolutely .... just look at many of the posts here.  Many chase new cards, CLI's, reward points and any other aspect of CC's with glee.  In fact, it's a bit scary.  It's almost a game to many.

Re: Credit Card Addiction

I completely agree. People can become addicted to the rush that comes over them when they see the Approved screen with a shiny new CL staring them back.

Re: Credit Card Addiction

I must get a rush from seeing you will receive a reply in 7-10 days and then denied or something.  Imma have to find a way to get some approvals.  This is depressing. Smiley Very Happy

It is a game-
You just have to know the rules to win.

I love that also! It reminds me that just because it has no limit means all the more that I should be treating it like my debit card and PIF.
