I guess time will tell. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My e-mail came pretty quicky after I got on the list. It's titled "It's Official, You're on the List". The body of the e-mail told me I was #44,XXX in line, lol

I just tried it again... so far no email (again). The website says I'm #34,XXX in line, but I'm assuming without verifying my email to "confirm my position" that doesn't mean much.
Oh well, it might be for the best. I still have an old Blispay card laying around somewhere, LOL.

Yep, it's me!
Sometimes I'm brave enough to come out of my crypt before the sun goes down, LOL.

I'm sure you did but you checked your junk mail?

Oh yeah, it's empty.
That's OK... a little patience might not be a bad thing anyway.
Well, curiosity got the best of me so I tried registering again (attempt #3) but this time using my phone's gmail email address, and I got the verification email almost immediately. I guess they don't like my primary email address, LOL. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have no idea what the problem is with my primary email, but in any case I'm now "officially" on the list, even if it's 10k+ spots further down the list than before, ha.
I still haven't decided if I'll actually pull the trigger (I never did on my X1 invite) but I'm curious if it'll work with Discover at Walmart like the Paypal Key did (R.I.P.). What I'm referring to is Discover's grocery quarter excludes Walmart, but if you ran the purchase through PPK the 5% grocery category was triggered (this didn't work with Chase or Capital One Savor, unfortunately). I'm thinking it might just work that way with Curve. 🤔
I have a DP, but for the EU version of the card (MC Debit).
In the French Costco, which accepts Visa, MC, Amex, it codes as wholesale clubs (I can look up the MCC if interested).
I tried using Costco transactions to my Curve to my Discover (during the 5% groceries quarter), CSP, and VentureOne, and they all coded as wholesale clubs. So no dice for these companies.
But the US card and their protocal may be different, YMMV!
Definitely getting technical issues. And the chat help has been... difficult. They don't seem to actually read what you said the problem, or problems, is. Even if you say it over and over.
Initially to change P2's email and phone number so that I could "free" mine back up for my own use. They did the email, then were like "ok bye let us know if you need anything else!"... and I was like whoa whoa, I said phone too? (Which they they said they did, but turned out they actually didn't because when I went to use my phone it kept logging back into his, and I had to go over all that again.)
Now, I was finally able to create a seperate account with my phone and email, but it won't let me VERIFY either of them (no email verification coming through, and for phone number several issues... first it was giving me codes, but once entered there was no way to say "submit" or anything... just ask for a new code.) So after a sign out and reboot, I came back to it and asked to verify phone number again, but this time it took about 20 min to send a code... and by the time it came through and I went back to the page, it NOW was saying i had "change my phone number too many times in the last 28 days". Huh? Regarding all this, I explained all of it to the point where I was at to "Princess Mae C" the chat help, but after saying "sure, I can help you change your email" (not at all what I was asking, but why would she bother to read), she asked for my house number, zip, last transaction amount (this has been open like an hour at this point... no transactions), and my last 4 of the card number. Um, ok. Sure. I provided, and she came back with that email verification is a known issue and CLOSED THE CHAT ON ME without addressing my question about the phone verification issues!! That was very **bleep**.
I went to open a NEW ticket, and basically got "no one can help you atm, we'll contact you sometime in 48 hours" -.- I'm feeling like was flagged and stuck in a bucket.
New data point: so far, it appears that once you have added a specific credit card to a Curve Card account, you cannot add it to a second one. P2 has both Discover and Savor WMCs; he added them to his Curve card first, no problem. In attempting to add them to my own Curve Card, it gave error messages along the lines that the card could not be added. Obviously they're not invalid cards for Curve, since they accepted them once already, which leaves me to conclude (until further testing proves differently) that a specific CC can only be attached to a single Curve account at a time.
I don't know how this will affect authorized user cards which have the same number, but I assume that those with different card number will be ok. Presently I don't have MCs or Discover cards that fall into those categories to test with.
Definitely annoying for the idea of giving Player 2 less cards to carry if anything you give them you can't use yourself.
Additionally, I THINK that the smart rules will override your selection of the "default" card, but I haven't tested yet. This is sort of backwards in my head because using Google Pay, used to the "active" selection being for a specific purchase, and the "default"(non-smart rule!) Being for when I don't actively select a card.
This makes it more concerning for attaching a wide selection of cards because of the strange lines they have drawn in the sand for their smart rules... lumping Car Rental in with other business purchases for example I don't want to use my Ink card (once they allow Visa) for car rental, and I don't want to use my CSP at Staples. Which leaves me with having to avoid Smart Rules for those cards. But will the "general spend" category catch things that aren't selected as other smart rules? I don't want "general spend" overriding if I have the Discover card selected as my default at a gas station, but since the Savor card is set as "general spend" the smart rules overrides the selected default card. Oy!
