With no disprespect towards you, I'm going to have to say this:

You appear surprised that there are no locations near you. That should have been the first thing you should have considered when the thought got in your head to start dealing with DCU.

Second, nobody calling you. I did happen to receive a phone call from a rep when I joined and he thanked me for joining, gave his info about the bank and the products that they offered and inquired about my interest in further DCU products. It was a nice PR move and I was appreciative, but you didn't miss much.

Fact is, you're not the only DCU member to have no local branches - in fact, the majority of DCU members probably don't have accessible branches close by.

And despite the reservations you have now, those same reservations never occurred to you when you took an auto loan from them? Applied and was approved for a VISA with them? Opened accounts with them?

Count your lucky stars: you got an auto loan - probably at a great rate -, a credit card with a very decent starting limit and full online access to your products. 

My vote is this: you'd be the biggest fool this side of the moon if you dumped all that on account of the reasons that you stated in your OP.

@Unusuallyconfused- I never said I was going to dump them. I said that I was a little worried and then proceeded to ask others for their input on their experiences with Dcu. Thank you for your response.

I joined and any time i've had to call, their reps are always overly nice and helpful although they're not too knowledgable on how credit works, lol.  I've never had a call from them, as if there's an offer i'd expect an email.  So far no complaints, and love my free FICO and that i can do e-deposits!

My concern was that I've contacted a representative who apologized for the gentleman who was rude to me with the credit card and told me the underwriter would call me. No one has called and it's been two weeks. I am not upset, I just think they are letting things slip through the cracks. I will need to call again but it takes a whole on the phone so I haven't made the time for it.

Finally am done with this issue. Closed the account. Nothing lost, nothing gained. I am certainly not impressed, but at the same time I am not disappointed in them at all. They based the decision they made on the mess of a credit situation I put myself in. Without adding this crap of an account, it looks better. I will have stellar credit before I know it. Situations like these just cement cause and effect in my mind. Best of luck everyone! (And by luck, I mean when preparation meets opportunity!)
