Discover Interest Free Period Running Out

Quick question, the 0% interest period that I received when I apped for Discover is fixing to expire. Do they start adding interest retroactively from the day the account was opened or does it just start on the day the 0% interest ends?

Give them a jingle they may extend the period for you.

Interesting, have you known them to do this before?  I have about a $1,500 balance and the 0% interest ends in May

Re: Discover Interest Free Period Running Out

Do you have a Discover More card? I just converted my card to the Discover It card two days ago. I asked (one person, no luck; second, much better) if I could have the 12 months 0%APR like the new applicants and he said I couldn't but he'd see if there were any other internal offers he could get me. He found 2: 0% APR for 6 months or a permanent reduction of 5% to my statement APR (17.99% to 12.99%). I know a lot of people work in the Discover It department, but ask for Justin. He was awesome.

No mine is the Discover It card. But your story definitely gives me hope for accomplishing an extended 0% interest period.  I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow and see if I can pursuade them Smiley Happy  Not sure if I can request a rep or not, but I'll ask for Justin and see what they say...thanks for the info.

The chat is just as good as an option as well.. that's how I've always gotten my promo APRs.
