Discover Pre Qualify website

I tried Discover pre approval website and it came back with Discover-It Cash back and Discover-It Crome, with it coming back with these two cards what are my approval odds when a hard pull is done? My Equifax score is 615 Equifax credit montering, 634 Discovery website,598 Trans-union Equifax website, 643 Experian(on Experian website). On Equifax i have one closed account Portfolio recovery and 3 Medical Collections for $12, $67, and $34. I saw on myfico community that Discover pulls Equifax is the correct?

Thanks for your help

Re: Discover Pre Qualify website

Who they pull might depend on where you live. I live in MA for my first app they actually pulled both. They pulled Experian only for my second card. If your prequal shows a single APR vs. a range of APR’s that’s a good sign and more likely to be a final approval.

Re: Discover Pre Qualify website

Approved with similar scores after pre-approval in June, but without any baddies and super high utilization. They pulled only equifax for me in CA. From what I have read, Discover pre-approval site is pretty reliable, as was the case for me. Granted, I got a $500 SL but it was better than nothing.

Keep us updated if you decide to pull the trigger.

Re: Discover Pre Qualify website

Pretty sure that is what mine looked like and was approved but in the student editions of these cards. I obviously can not guarantee anything but prior to my pre-approval, I was receieving something along the lines of "we are unable to match you with any offers"

Who they pull will depend on where you live. For me it was EQ, with SP on EX

In most instances, it's either EQ or EX. Very few reports of TU being pulled. I think I've only seen one.

With that said, their preapprovals are pretty solid, so you have a decent chance.

If those small medical collections remain unpaid, I'd pay them off first, wait a month, then apply. Your terms may slightly improve.

If they are paid, and this card would be beneficial to you, go for it.

Re: Discover Pre Qualify website

I received a pre-qual approval for the same Discover It cards last week. I went for the Cash Back card and was approved. I live in Texas and EX and EQ were pulled.
