Hi, I want to use some low-interest transfer checks from FNBO but they must be posted by May 31, 2022. It is the Saturday before Memorial Day and obviously bank activity is minimal.
Can you guys suggest a way to pay off some card balances using these checks so they will post by May 31? I tried using one as I would a bank check payment on my citi.com account, but it doesn't recognize the routing number from the offer check as legit.
I could next-day air a check for payment and hope it gets there May 31 (Tuesday), but then it would also have to POST that same day.
I already checked my FNBO account online to see if the offer is available for online transfers and no offer is available that I can see for my account (previously it will show up as an offer link on my main account page).
Any thoughts? The transfer APR is 4.99% with 2% transfer fee, so with rising interest rates, this could save me some serious dough.

If the credit card accounts you want to pay off are with Citi, why not try (a) depositing the checks with your Citi mobile app into your Citi checking account and then (b) paying online from your Citi ckecking account?
You can write the check to yourself and deposit in your own bank , but not sure if it would post on time because of the holiday though? My bank is usually very quick to clear checks however I guess it depends on your banking institution
I only have a citi.com credit card, not a checking account. But excellent suggestion if I had one. Thanks!
We also get those checks a lot , if they expire within a few weeks they send another set with new dat . You can always call them and request another set sent to you ?
Brilliant suggestion. However I just called my local branch (Truist/Suntrust) and they informed me a check deposited today would not clear until after midnight Tuesday, May 31--so I'd miss the deadline. Thank you for the suggestion!
So frustrating... I am generally on top of due dates and deadlines, so missing this one is particularly depressing for me. We have excellent credit scores, but our consumer debt is too high and I wanted to consolidate and pay it off.

And perhaps that will work. With the interest rates up, I doubt it will be for 4.99%.
But who knows... I will definitely check! Thank you again!!!!
Final outcome--- I got a hold of a CSR at FNBO and she explained that yes, any check transfers would not clear until after the deadline. When I asked if there was a way to do it online, she said sure and directed me to my main account page for their online offers--only there were none.
She was puzzled by this and said she couldn't email me a direct link to their offers or anything else. I was disappointed and was about to end the call, when she said, "Well I could do it over the phone, too..." She was a bit reluctant-sounding, but we transferred over 3 balances that were 9.99% to 14.99%.
So my new transfer balance is 4.99% for life! They make me pay a minimum of 3% of the balance, which is higher than my other cards, but it forces me to pay them down faster.
Thank you guys for the suggestions. It encouraged me to not give up, and that pushed me to make a very valuable phone call (which I hate doing bc I'm a little introverted). Y'all are awesome!!!

Wonderful. Glad you were able to get it done.
