When I go to the posted link and enter my information I am only offered the secured card. However, when I log on to my HSBC account and enter the information I am offered their platinum rewards cards that have no AF. I already have an HSBC Cash or Fly Mastercard with a $5000 cl. I have had no problems at all with them.
I only have their secured card, no other accounts. There is no link available for me to see or apply for any of the other cards.

Did you get it as a counteroffer when applying for a real Discover card?

I, personally don't like HSBC or their sister companies Orchard, Household Bank, and Direct Rewards because their AF range from $35 to $75 and their their interest rate is ridiculous if you're lucky enough to have one. But if you still want HSBC, I guess go ahead.
I have the actual HSBC secured card. The AF is $35 and the interest rate is 16.8%. I think this is very reasonable for people with bad credit.
I like this card. They have a good website which is clear and shows pending charges. They clear the the credit limit the next day on online payments., usually a day before it comes out of the checking account.

I agree it's good for re-building credit. But, once your credit socre is good and you have no recent baddies on your CR, you should apply with another company. Maybe it's just me, but I hate annual fee.

HSBC also has cards for people with good credit without annual fee. They only offer them to their banking customers.
If you read all the posts about AMEX, there are a lot of fans of annaul fees around here.
They prequalified me for the platnium but than when I submited I got
Unfortunately, HSBC is unable to approve your application due to the following reason(s): YOU ALREADY HAVE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ACCOUNTS ALLOWED WITH HSBC
