I was told that it takes AMEX a while - maybe even as long as 2 weeks - to use the latest SP score in a CLI request. My last SP pull based on their website was July 21st. Should the newer higher scored be applied in whatever algorithm they use by now?
I understand that they may update once a month - or however frequently - but I'm asking about how long that new SP score should be posted before it actually get factored in to consideration for a CLI request.
If you have access to your Experian credit report you can check to see when Amex soft pulls your credit. Alternatively, you can go to their application status site and see if you have any cost of credit letters. Those letters would contain the date when the pull is made each month. From there you should be able to figure out if Amex UW has your latest reports.
You guys are helpful, but missing OP's very specific question. [Edit @Anonymous wins for answering while I was typing this.]
My scores usually don't fluctuate much during the month, but I do get several updates. As far as I am aware, they always used the score that was currently showing in my account. There have been posts where people said they were denied for a CLI or new card because Amex used an older score, but that has not been my personal experience.

He's trying to figure out when Amex UW pulls his scores; that's different from the EX FICO score reported in his online account. In my case my score online updates 2-3 per month but the score used for underwriting decisions is only pulled once per month and there's usually a 2-3 week lag between the last online update and when that score is available to underwriting.
For example, the last update of my score online was on July 25. But I was able to figure out from denial letters that Amex UW pulls my score in the first week of each month.
I didn't mean to make my question a tough one to answer.
I was just checking to see when teh UWs get my most recent score to use it in a CLI request. I realize they may not get it the same day or even the same week. I'm just trying to be judicious in my requesting a CLI, limiting any reason for a denial.
I can also hope that they're just more lenient on CLI requests than they are on initial apps.
