How many days should I wait before I call Citi on my app

I have not rejected email from Citi for the app I submitted on line on 1/25. How many days should I wait before I call citi and ask them for status? Especially this is the busiest time for them with all the Xmas shoppinig going on. Any suggestion when I should give them a call and ask them? Or should I wait couple of weeks and let the system work and let them get back to me? Any suggestions?

Do you mean 11/25 rather than 1/25? Cuz if you are already in next year- whoa Buddy!

I have called places 24 hours to three days later. It has helped calm my mind. The longest to EVER process was Barnes and Noble by Barclays/Junni- and they suck at how long they took. Plus they lost my first card.

Call them up.

If you're asking... it means you're jonesing!  Go ahead and call and see what they say.  Even at only 2 days in they just might have info for you... and also they could probably tell you when to call back if they don't.

They work for you now, you know?!

As you suggested, I went ahead and called. They said it is not processed yet and could take a week before it is processed. At least no rejection yet. I'll wait and see what happens in a week from now.

I agree. I just want to get a rejection letter and get it over with. Well I guess I have to go through the anxiety for another week or so and then get the rejection letter.

Nope- its a good thing. Usually if you are rejected they will tell you right then. I can't make promises to you- but to me it is a better sign that saying no right away.

Ok. Then I'll keep dreaming about it until they say other wise. My EQ is only 651. That is why I am thinking they might not approve me. But it is a biz card and I put my Biz EIN Number also on it. I have 6 Biz cards with Citi AAA Credit. That is why I am thinking I might get it.

Again they might not even bother to look at my biz credit with in citi and flat out decline me. Either way it is going to be interesting to wait and see. Keep wondering if I got any email decision from citi.  

Good news is my daughter told me over the phone I got the pre-approved application for Amex Optima Oasis $5K in the mail today. Once I send out the app this week, hopefully I should get my Oasis card to cheer me up.

Either way it is going to be a Great Christmas this year. I am off from work starting this Friday for 2 weeks until Jan 2nd. Lot of sleeping and eating and watching TV. Can not wait till Friday to come.....
