Well I had a surprise notification in March that my Lowe's credit limit had been decreased from $7,900 to $1000 😳. At the time I didn't give it much thought, as I assumed it was for inactivity. I've been in the garden since 2018 and that was the last time I used it for some major upgrades on my home. Well today, my powder room toilet sprung a major leak and for the past two billing cycles for my water bill, the payment has been crazy. The plumber turn off the water to that toilet and didn't charge me for the visit...I'm a loyal customer 🙂. I bopped down to Lowe's to get pricing for a new toilet and install....so much cheaper than the plumber ....even with my loyalty😂😂. Then I recall my limit has been lowered and I'm also in the market for a new AC.
Well I scheduled the toilet purchase/install no problem, but I need to fix this CLD..so I call them up, explain what happened and the CR didnt see any negative credit activity so it was most likely due to inactivity, the last time I used the card was in 2018. She asked a few income questions and put the request through to bring my CL back to $7,900🙂. Have to remember to pop in once and awhile just so there's some activity on the card. Just wanted to share in case someone else has had a similar situation. Always a good idea to just pick up the phone and a have a conversation once and awhile.

Also for all the folks who don't like getting on the phone with them, you can just hit that luv button online (if the link is there) and it will yield the same result so long as the reason is the same (inactivity). Otherwise, calling Credit Solutions is the only way to get above the $10K max CL via luv button.

You aren't kidding. This was a $2000+ weekend lol. Synch May lower my line or close it at some point but if they do, no matter what, it won't be for inactivity!

Not necessarily - my last CLI was via the luv button and took it to a counter-offered $12,000 (I had asked for $15,000).
ETA - I just decided on a whim to ask for a CLI in my online account. Asked for and was given a new limit of $17,000!

@Anonymous Yeah you're right my bad didn't realize Lowe's is a different kind of Sync animal that it's the one that can grow like wildflower!! Congrats on your CLI as well!
Wonderful outcome! Close call on having it closed (2018?) perhaps. If you don't like going in store their online purchasing is fast! I order that way a lot.... a lot, a lot! Cleaners, accents, you name it.
