Not necessarily - my last CLI was via the luv button and took it to a counter-offered $12,000 (I had asked for $15,000).
ETA - I just decided on a whim to ask for a CLI in my online account. Asked for and was given a new limit of $17,000!

Yes, Lowe's can go to $35k with online requests. Other cards, such as Amazon, will usually not get over $10k with an online request.

@JR_TX You definitely should have it. That 5% discount adds up on big buys, or the option for 0% financing. I'd definitely go for it if I were you. Synch is still doling out CLs - I did a request for a friend at work this morning. He got an instant increase from $8300 to $15,000, and then we doubled down by asking on his Sams card and got that o e from $2500 to $7500 in one shot. $11,700 in increases on two Synch cards in four minutes. Go get you some
