Mini app spree

A little info about me.

I am 18 with 2 capital one cards for about 6 months. My EQ score is 712

Today i applied for the walmart discover card and was approved for 3k

Went ahead and applied for the discover it card. Approved for 1.5k

Then went for the chase freedom and approved for 3k.

Currently have about 1.2k from capital one.

I think i got the main cards i would need for now. Would it be better to apply for cards in the same period or spread them out?>

And lastly is there any other card I should go for like Amex?

Congrats on your spree. What is your income, if you don't mind answering.

Take it slowly. No more cards for a little while, see where your spending lies in 6 months or a year from now. You need more age on your accounts, or else you will be tanking your credit through a low AAoA and high INQs. Make sure you don't buy anything you don't need.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Last App: June 27, 2015

Re: Mini app spree

You could go for an Amex charge ( that means you have to pay the bal in full...think of it like a debit card) idk about a revolver. Tbh, you have some nice cc's with good size limits- you might stop now and show lenders how well you handle your new cc's by gardening for 6 mos. just want to make sure you are prepared to handle the responsibility of obtaining cc's at your age. Not trying to preach, just wanted to throw out a little cautionary pause on your new found cc's

Re: Mini app spree

Discover seems to like balances but really it would depend on which cc gave you the best term. Discover and freedom have 0% APR offers.

Re: Mini app spree

I agree with SnackTrader!  Take it easy,  no more apps for a while, unless you do one app for an Amex Charge card.

Other than that, off to the garden with you!
