For those of you that got the email notice do you DD all of your paycheck into your NFCU account, or if not roughly what percentage of your net do you deposit there?

My primary direct deposit goes to PenFed, and about 25% of my paycheck goes to NFCU.  I got the email notice.

Daily Carry: PenFed Power Cash • NFCU Flagship • NFCU More Rewards • Chase Freedom
Sock Drawer: PenFed Promise • NFCU cashRewards • Chase Sapphire Preferred • Chase Freedom Unlimited • United Explorer • UNFCU Azure

About 85% of my direct deposit goes to NFCU. The 15% goes to Penfed. Have not received notice of any change with my cash rewards card. When I applied for Flagship Rewards back in August the denial reason was direct deposit status. Guess 85% of my weekly paycheck isn't enough. Might check on the 1.75%  Every penny counts. Lol

I just received an email from NFCU that states that my Cash Rewards card will begin earning 1.75% cash back beginning 10/05/2021. It states specifically that since I have direct deposit, this will be automatic.

I have DD. I'm calling them right now. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

UPDATE: I am doing the Happy Dance. I sent a SM stating I found out on MyFICO that emails were being sent out about this and asked if my cashRewards could be upgraded. Here's the response from NFCU:

Thank you for using Navy Federal's eMessaging Service, Ms. CreditInspired. Upon review, we have determined you are eligible for the upgrade to 1.75% cash back starting October 5, 2021. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks again @BearsCubsOtters for sharing.

I just sent a SM also. I have a small DD that goes to Navy ($125 a week) so hopefully I'll hear some cool news.

Thanks @BearsCubsOtters for sharing this.

Ugh......you know, every time I see your name I start hearing that Doors song in my head...specifically where it starts to speed up! LOL

I am glad you are getting it too! I am thinking that they are going to roll out 1.75% to everybody on 10/5/2021. I'll be checking the website that day to see if it has risin to 1.75% for new applicants as well.

I am glad to see them raise it above QS and Freedom Unlimited...but..it will take more than excellent service and 1.75% to get me to switch from my USAA Limitless. Besides, Citi, Wells Fargo, FNBO and others have already introduced 2% so it is interesting that they went under that amount. Love the absolute you-know-what out of NFCU still but they are not top of wallet for me.

Yup, it appears that have made it "up to 1.75%" for "everybody" (everybody with direct deposit).

Just got the email(s) today. 2% would have been more competitive with PenFed. Baby steps I guess. Eyeing the PCR tho even more now.

They denied you a credit card because you don't deposit your entire paycheck with them? Is that a requirement for the Flagship Rewards card?

I've been seeing that a lot on denial letters in the NFCU fb group. Crazy, random reasons that don't even apply. Interestingly enough, most of them have indeed been for the Flagship

Me thinks NFCU is intently aware of PFCU siphoning off some existing accounts.
