Fwiw the conservative nature of First Nat'l was bore out with my mom's approval. 0 inquires in the previous 12 months, 1 inquiry in past 24 mo (month 16), 3 open accts at time of app: Two 6 yr old account at 5 k and a new BCE at 20k that is 16 mo old. She's retired, owns house, and has investments. 800+ FICO.

She was approved for a whopping $1,400.  Was going to recon CL when card arrives, but think we'll just let this ride.

At 3 recent new account and inquires, ain't no way for me!

FNBO is a sole blackmark on my otherwise successful climb and entry into prime territory. A hiccup if you will but one i won't forget. I took care of their nosy neighbors anyway even though i won't be apping for anything they offer again. Sour taste lender for me. One better packed away and forgotten

I still think this blew up way bigger than they ever thought and are just denying people at random or giving ridiculously low limits to decrease their exposure...I'm still bitter too, haven't wasted a hp since scores were almost 150 points lower than current

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

At first I thought this card was very alluring, and that it might even be worth apping for. Now, I firmly believe there are much better ways to expend an inquiry than to apply for this or that BBVA card.

I'm curious what next month's must-have card will be.

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Any additional running stats on forum members who have applied and successfully been approved for the card, j/w?

Also again my most sincere and genuine sympathies, to those who were eminently more-than-worthy to be approved based on perfect and outstanding credit profiles, but were unfairly and unjustly declined, by FNBO  Smiley Sad  How in the world they can justify denying applicants with top-tier 800+ scores is truly insane and ridiculous, IMO!  Smiley Surprised

J/w, were you also the same poster who had mentioned earlier btw that you had already been approved for a high-limit FNBO Amex (the other one they offer in the product line)?  If so, was they FNBO willing to consider at all PC'ing your existing  Amex with them to the new FNBO Amex at 6.25% V?  (Also my apologies in advance, if I accidentally mixed you up with another earlier poster here?)

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Is the reason that none of the major credit card offer/info/application websites are featuring this card in their listed lineup (at least none that I could see anyway, after checking out quite a few) specifically due to the time-limited nature of the card for up until 5/31/2015?  (The only reason that I was personally able to find out about the card offering at all was b/c I was an existing FNBO card holder, and I just happened to visit their website.)

The sad thing is that a lot of people may not even potentially be aware that this excellent offer exists, except only if they happen to visit the FNBO website by chance?

Re: New FNBO Limited-Time Offer Card?

Many of you are not aware that with FNBO denying applicants with very good & reasonable scores (especially last year) due to their over conservative ways, that complaints were lodged to the attention of the CEO of Overstock.Com over being refused a simple merchant store card and that potential customer loss for them. Very soon after entered Comenity's sponsorship and the rest is history and a HUGE increase in sales for Overstock.Com. And yes, i was most certainly one of those complainants with a 720 FICO that made a case thru Twitter to the CEO and he went to work right away to make good on that new change.

Definitely added my 2 cents worth to the defense of Overstock.Com
