I got approved for it the other day, didn't you see!
Interesting, I got an e-mail last night from a survey company hired by Walmart. It essentially asked questions about rewards, their gas benefits, and asked about visuals in-store and online related to their $25.00 off your purchase by opening the card. As typical with surveys, they pop up comment blocks when you score a certain way. One was a question related to a visual and I noticed that they had the MC prominent and about half the store card showing behind it. I basically commented that it was misleading because very few get the MC version.
oh wait, it's ONLY the month of April!? I thought I was reading STARTING in April! :/

Oh cheeseburgers... I just caught that! (That's what I get for hanging out here when I'm too tired to think straight... LOL)
Well, I guess much of what I posted no longer applies. Sorry about that.

Must be trying to grab some of our tax refund money in April!
@UncleB wrote:I need to learn to read more carefully... I saw "3%" and I immediately thought it was for Wal-Mart purchases, and I was doing the math in my head and thinking about if it would be better to app in-store or online, then I went back and read the statement again... the 3% is only for Wal-Mart.com purchases.
I'm not knocking it, though... it's still an improvement.
The 3% statement credit for Wal-Mart.com might be worth considering, but when I order online I usually use Amazon - they have the checkout experience down to an art. Also, I think there's usually a 'standing' Discover deal for Wal-Mart.com as well, which makes the Walmart Credit Card offer redundant if you have Discover.
Again, though, I don't want to sound negative... this is definitely a move in the right direction, and sometimes you have to crawl before you can walk.
I second THAT emotion !
I opened my statement yesterday, read the insert (which I mentally compared to my Sam's MC) and that ceased any excitement that could be risen from it. But for those that have only the WM MC, it's better than nothing !
Mine is presently only brought out when needing some action once in a while because that card took a back seat to the Sam's MC once it arrived - and Discover 5 percent this quarter with double cash promo back pushed it even further !
This might give the Target RedCard program a run for its money. If only you didn't have to deal with walmart people while shopping there.....
