Nordstrom sent a new card!

I got a new credit card from Nordstrom today....It's silver and has a 16 digit account number now...it also has an expiration date on it and a security code on the back. It still has my Member since date on the front from last year.

Re: Nordstrom sent a new card!

I received mine about a month or so ago.  I like the fact that the retail card looks like a credit card now.  The previous design did not hold up to my regular swiping.  My cards always ended up in two pieces LOL.  I think I've been through at least 3 cards over the years.  Hopefully, this new one will hold up.

I love Nordstrom. For the most part, I do all my shopping there. However, no card for me. I had one before my Chapter 13, but never reapplied. I do love reading about them, though. lol

Re: Nordstrom sent a new card!

I opened mine in February. I received the new 16 digit card in May. What sucks is the new 16 digit card shows up on my report (with the same open date) but the old one is not receiving updated information anymore. Bringing down my AAoA. Eventually, if left alone, this could be great for my AAoA down the road. However, when I get a credit limit increase and the other card is stuck at $500, that would be hurting my eyes.

I got a bs response when I tried to contact Nordstrom via SM to remove the account. Should I call and ask them to remove it entirely or report it as paid as agreed and closed?

That's odd. When I saw it on my reports, nothing changed except the card number. All my previous payment history remained intact. Maybe the bureaus are just reporting it incorrectly and it'll get fixed shortly.
