Thanks for all your opinion!

I wouldn't PC a QS to a VentureOne, because the rewards are better on the QS and there isn't a restriction on how to redeem.   Why not combine the two QS cards?

I haven't used any of my QS except for a few dollars now and then to keep them active, so they've been considered a part of my "collection" since I received my Citi Double Cash, Discover IT and American Express near the end of 2015. I won't combining them because I don't have problems with keeping track of cards.

I don't see any advantage to a PC from QS to VentureOne, unless you're trying to move from MC Platinum to WMC standing or unless you just like the design better.   However, I think if you were to cold app, the V1 would be better, since the sign-up bonus is better (depending on how you redeem) and the 0% APR period is longer.

I won't apply anymore because for some reason I was in an app frenzy in 2015. The only cards I have that appeal to me is the Citi, Discover and American Express. However, thanks to Capital One, I was able to build my credit score from the low 600s to 720 to earn the aforementioned cards in the later part of 2015..

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

LOL wow, what a thread...ok.

I think i understand OP.  He has two QS cards and only wants to have one.  Since he might/is be eligible PC to Venture One, then why not! If he ever starts traveling in the future, he would have a "travel card" and could upgrade to Venture as well if he wanted to.  I think OP understands that he will not get the sign on bonus by PCing, but he's ok with it because he can not meet the spending anyways.  OP doesn't want to apply for it, again, because he can't meet the spending and does not want another HP (keep in mind that with cap1, you get a HP on all three bearous) in his credit reports. OP wants to PC the QS to Venture one only To diversify his credit card collection.  No other reason.

If I were in your shoes, and just to diversify, i would PC it to the Venture One.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

"The QS is simply a better card." This is why I read these boards frequently. I had assumed from all the marketing that the QS was a stepping stone to the V. I also have the QS and QS1 (comically low limits but I'm working on it). I had been pounding the "Upgrade" link relentlessly to see if CapOne would offer me the Venture card, but now I'm leaning to merging into a single QS.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

If I were you, I would switch over to the Primer Dining card instead of venture one. Use it for dining 3% is decent for a sock drawered card. I have the marvel card, otherwise, I would do the same.

It's not a maybe. The offer is there.

You should become my translator. I've edited my orignal post so people would understand that having two Quicksilvers doesn't make it any better than owning two cars (you can only ride one at a time). The purpose of the car is to get from point A to B and one car will do the job. Likewise, just because a person PC one of his QS (has two to begin with) will lose out on the 1.5% cash back because he already had two to begin with.

I didn't know you could get the Diner's Club from Capital One, or PC to it. I have the Discover now which is at 5% cash back for dining out but it's only 1 quarter per year.

Re: Should I PC QS to Venture One?

You can't get the Diners club from capital one. You can get their premier dining card though. But you can't PC to it so it would have to be a new app.

It seems like everyone here thinks you should keep the QS/doesn't think you should get the V1. But I think your mind was made up even before you first posted this question.
