Definitely isn't worth dealing with credit stress right now. I would just wait for the letters to come and focus on your mom getting better. I wish her a speedy recovery!

Just take one day at a time. Remember, this too shall pass. Synchrony is just credit-based. Your mom--well she's priceless, and that's what counts most.
@Anonymous all my best for your Mom. She is most important. We'll be here for you if you need support. Thank you for sharing when you dodnt have to. Sometimes this site can be therapeutic for me in just getting it off your chest but do take care of your mental health first. Cheers , AJC
Best wishes for your mom and good luck!
Best wishes for your mom and I will be following this thread.

I think ten accounts is why.
Edit after reading entire thread: @Anonymous wishing your mother a speedy recovery.
I am wondering if that is also the reason. 10 accounts from a single lender is quite a lot. <hides Amex cards; it's only 8!>
I am wondering if perhaps it was just a periodic review. How recently were the 10 opened? You mentioned the BECU in December, but if some of these Synchrony accounts were opened fairly recently that may have triggered a review.
Also, there are a number of accounts you mentioned both Synch and others that have higher than optimal utilization (not maxed but above 30%). Unfortunately there's no note on our credit reports that says "this is a 0% financing offer" or "this is a 0% balance transfer offer for 12 months," so anyone (or a computer) reviewing your reports just sees high balances, and if comparing to previous reports, likely low payments compared to the balances.
Please update us once you call or receive letters in the mail and best wishes for a speedy recovery from your mother.

No, that cant be. Unless they were apped in shotgun fashion there seems to be another reason. I have 7 and had 9 with Walmart and ive been ok. Not all of uss can get the US Banks of the world lol but hopefully we see what triggered it.
I know that I personally can be bad about opening mail and you are going through a lot right now with your mom's health issues so are you sure you didn't miss the infamous "blue envelope" asking for tax info?

A lot of lenders are geo restricted. More than half of all approval threads are off limits to me, so are some of the great CUs.
I'm happy for those who can have those products, though..
