Sorry to hear. Depending on how much you both want the cards you have, it's best to put some adequate spend on them. I'm not sure 1 purchase every 6 mos is a shoo-in for keeping a card like it used to be. Maybe it is, but to play it safe, use them more than that.

My Synchrony Lowe's card gets the least use. Went almost 6 mos once without use. No AA on it, but my limit isn't very high so limited exposure and not too much of a waste of CL for them. I put some on recently, so I'm trying to avoid 1 purchase every 6 months.

@Jnbmom ..most of the time it happens due to inactivity ..here is quick trick use the card let the charge post.. i am 99% sure the original credit limit/or slightly lower than original credit line will restore automatically ...no need to call the backdoor just yet... if the credit line don't change after this ,,go ahead make some calls   ..Good Luck

Thanks all. I mean with all the recent synch closures I wasn't really surprised. This is the first AA we have encountered though .  I am sure it is totally for non use as it's been over a year since he used the card. I just threw the water bill on his PPMC because that's been not used in a bit. Marvel and Rakuten are also non used cards. Lowes gets some  use.

We or should I said ME lol plan on going through all our accounts and see what we really want to keep and can use and may very well close down quite a few. 

I know it's easy to think I will just throw some usage on a card here and there, but sometimes that's a pain in the rear, as between the both of us there's a lot of cards.

And in all honesty I don't have that kinda time to worry about them all .

I don't blame you for considering a total thin-out...it's a PITA trying to breath life into some of these tl's.  Sure we can use them occassionally, some more often than others but I don't want to "worry" about them either.  Don't blame ya a bit Sistah!

Hopefully you won't have to hand that phone to you know who to close them out.  Have yourself a great weekend and poop on the rest.

Yes we have decided to just close it along with the Rakuten . We will keep Lowes and PPMC, marvel on the fence.
