Thinking now of apping for the Merrill+

well i am now leaning towards the Merrill+ as i was reading the benefits. I thought about the 90k rewards offer out there for the Virgin Atlantic WEMC but thats after 12k spend in 6 months (would be down to 5 months with the trip coming up in February for me if i were to get approved quickly). So started looking at the Merrill card and its rewards and i like it...Smiley Happy For those who have the card already, have you been happy with it? Easy to redeeem points for travel? Any input would be nice and sorry if this has been asked already. I may have to move re-allocate limits since i have over 50k in credit with BofA already.

Re: Thinking now of apping for the Merrill+

I haven't redeemed any points yet and probably will not until next year.  Nice, no AF card, when I have talked with the CSRs they've all been very knowledgable.  I had anticipated using it more this year but it got trumped by the CSP.

It's not like there a big sign up bonus you'll be missing.  If you are really considering it, do the Fid Amex at the same time- 1 hp.*

I like my Merrill+ card and more specifically the customer service. They just sent a notice that BoA will begin managing the accts so I hope the level of service remains intact. I wish cash and transfer rewards could be redeemed online but you have to call in. It also has a very reasonable APR.

Single HP for FIA Amex and Merrill+ .. hmm wonder how far apart they would be willing to use the same HP.

Re: Thinking now of apping for the Merrill+

I have the card.  It's a good card not a great card.  Good low APR 10.9%, no annual fee, very good customer service.  Up to $500 coach ticket for 25,000 points.  Discount on Delta airline tickets.  Bad, I don't see a sign up bonus anymore, 1% on purchases with no bonus categories.  Again, good card not a great one.  Fidelity Amex at 2% on every purchase is probably a better choice in most cases
