Really? Chase double pulled my EQ and EX in February for a CLI request over the phone (success! $16k became $24k).
I've only gotten one CLI from Chase, an auto CLI. The card had an 8k limit, I usually spent $200-$300 per month on it. One month I spent about $2500. A month later I got a $2500 CLI.
I've never applied for a CLI from them, due to the HP.

Yes. EQ and EX for every new card (CSP, CFU, Slate) I or P2 (CSP) apped for since 2016. EX only for a few Freedom CLI denials in 2016 and the granted 2019 CSR doubling. P2 got EX only for CFU doubling a few years ago.
The only Auto CLI I ever had from Chase was on Freedom; $5000 to $6500 a short 12 years after opening.
@K-in-Boston @Funny side note on this. Thank you for letting me know about the reallocation. I went to reallocate my credit line from the ED to the BCP. It wouldn't let me get to the screen at first. It was just blank. I tried a couple of times after this post. I gave up. So just now I gave it another go. I was able to reallocate 11k from the ED card. Then this pops up on my next login. I'm like is Amex stalking the forums to see I was thinking of closing the ED😂 I know it's just a coincidence but the timing was weird. How I long for the days when new Amex accounts carried the "member since" date on reports and didn't show as a new account.

But that's JMHO.
I agree, it's either that or take the HP for a CLI. However, given the DP's I've seen on HP CLIs being somewhat low. I'd rather just cold app a new card and move the new CL to the old card I use.
OP one reason why these cards are being pushed is because they all have an AF while yours does not. IMO
I didn't see you mention the current limit, if it's high enough to cover what your spend is then I'm not sure a CLI is even needed. I don't see too many auto CLI's from Chase, so you may be stuck there for a long time, as it's already been a long time it seems. Your prior scores may be playing into their decisions, but i can't really say for sure. I don't know if they do the whole bucket thing.
It seems you are caught between a rock and a hard place on which way to go, so I wish you luck with whatever path you decide.
@Anonymous Thank you I have had a chance to think everything through now. I have come to understand that this card is going to be what it is. It still serves a purpose for me which means I shouldn't close it. I am running a higher spend through it and I will see if that triggers something. Worse case I will take a hard pull CLI down the road. It won't be anytime soon. I did get 2 cards closed so right now I'm comfortable where I am. I will revisit if I close a 3rd card.
