This happens from time to time with Chase and Amex as well. I was in the Phillpines for about 4 months staying at the Marriot for work and they somehow coded Marriot on a Amex Marriot card as 1x. I used there interactive chat thing to correct it. On the positive note when it was corrected each month after that it was coded correct. Not a big deal.

I see.  OK thanks. I though it was only US Bank.  But the strange thing is it happened after April 14,2025 when they said "changes were going to change". Perviously before April 14,2025 everyrthing is fine.  All codes are correct and it only after the changes it was incorrect.  I know it is not a big deal but at least notify the customer if there are any changes for example redemtion has been increase if you are redeeming for statement credit.  You would 3,333 points to redeem for o$25.00. Before it was only 2,500 points.

Re: US Bank Altitude Go dinning 1x not 4x?

I've had a few US Bank rewards cards and have noticed inconsistencies in the way bonus points are shown.  If a category gets 3x, sometimes each transaction will post as 3x rewards individually.  Other times, the transactions will post as 1x individually and then at the end of the billing period I would see an additional 2x on all of those bonus category transactions in one lump sum.

I see but perviously when I had USB Bank and I joined them in 2021 I never had these issues before at all.  It is strange.  Did they do a system update and it causes the code to be coded incorrectly?

Re: US Bank Altitude Go dinning 1x not 4x?

@mikecintel I'm with you. I have the Altitude Go, too, and before April 14, 2025, everything - even pending transactions - had the correct rewards structure listed.

But, post-April 14, 2025, EVERYTHING is 1x, even if you go look at the transactions and it coded correctly, until after the rewards are posted. And, they are posted correctly, so far, as I can see. As stated above, sometimes, after it posted, it is listed as correct (i.e. one listing for 4x) and sometimes it's listed as 1x originally and then another list as 3x.

I'm not sure about a system update, etc. But, with all the changes at U.S. Bank, I'm assuming so. Or, they changed something that at least changes how rewards post. It's weird, I know, and I was startled, too, and researched it on Reddit (where I saw others had asked the same question, which is mentioned above), but so far so good once it's posted and rewarded. But, like you, I'll be keeping my eye on it and think it's weird. But, from what I've seen, post-April 14, 2025, this is just a thing but it eventually works itself out.

If that changes, and it is just a hassle and a bunch of wrong-rewards, even when coded correctly, I'll dig into customer service and be on top of it. So, my advice, just keep an eye on it and let us know if things don't work themselves out, but so far I've seen it does work itself out in the end.

I've only had USB cards since 2022, and in that time I've already seen multiple IT updates.  No matter how the rewards were initially displayed, I've always (eventually) received the correct total number of points.

Ok thanks for the advice.  Yes I read reddit too.  I will post after my statement closed.  Yes it is a hassel and annoying to me that even it is correclty coded they give the wrong points. Ugh!
