Wells Fargo Reflect-A Replacement for the Platinum Card

Looks like Wells Fargo is coming through with their promise of refreshing their card offerings. Starting with Active Cash and now the replacement for the old Platinum card:

Wells Fargo Reflect.JPG

Highlights are 0.0% APR on purchases and balance transfers for 18 months. If all payments are made on time, they extend this to 21 months. There appears to be a 3% balance transfer fee for transfers made within the first 120 days of opening and then increases to 5% thereafter.

APRs range from 12.99% to 24.99% once the intro period expires.

The extended 3 months is an interesting approach. Citi Diamond Preferred and BofA Americard each offer 18 months only; Chase Slate Edge is at 12 months.  Chase and BofA both offer a $100 sign up bonus with spend.

Re: Wells Fargo Reflect-A Replacement for the Platinum Card

I tried Wells on-line pre-screen just now.  The Reflect card has been included.  Not to suggest that pre-selected status is golden, but better than nothing. 16.99% post promotion variable APR is the same rate I had recently been offered for the BofA 18 Month BT card.

I still have an old WF Platinum card that has a $4k limit. I'm holding out to see if they have any offers that better mesh with my Propel. Don't have the need for another 2% card which is why I didn't bother with the active cash card.

I think the 3rd new Wells Fargo card is coming soon. A replacement for the Propel. Wells is trying to be more competitive and based on Active Cash and Reflect, I'd say they are doing a good job. The Propel was a great card, so hopefully its replacement will be even better.

*Replacement meaning for new applicants; likely not a replacement for existing Propel cardholders

I notice that Citibank has increased the length of the BT promotion for their Diamond Preferred from 18 to 21 months.  Competition can be a good thing!

do you ever get new bt offers on that wf platinum?

regarding the new reflect card, nice to see a 21 month period; would be nice if these banks did what fnbo does with its preapproval and showed you what limit you're preapproved for...imagine apping for a bt card and getting approved for a $500 limit lol
