Hello! I am wondering if anyone can give some insight on whether this may be successful or not. I have two cards with NFCU, both maxed out with 23.2 and 25k limits. I will be paying the 25k off next week. What are my chances of NFCU allowing me to transfer the 25k limit to the other card and close it? I will also pay a few thousand on to the other card to bring it not so close to the limit. I appreciate all thoughts or ideas on how I can make this happen. ETA: I’ve had these cards for years, since 2012/2013 if that helps any.
I think they will do that.
I know I have moved limits with them in the past.
Why don't you not close the paid off account, just leave it with a small limit?
Both cards are way over 1 year old so as long as you haven't had a CLI on the $23.2K card within the last 6 months you should be good to go.
I haven’t had any cli in years. I got a letter that I’ve reached my internal limit. This was also years ago. Will that have any effect?

That in itself shouldn't as you aren't asking for additional credit, only a reallocation of existing credit. However, depending upon the specifics of the comments made in your signature having other card currently maxed out may or may not give them pause.
If you don't ask you don't get.....
I've only moved limits...but no balance on each...also, moved GoReward CL to the Flagship, for a combined $57.8K. Not sure which card you have and if they allow you to hit the $50K mark, however, combining was as easy as a secured message, I didn't call.
Was this recent? If I combine I will be just under 50k. It seems wait times are really long these days; I'd rather send a message, but I feel I may have better luck if I actually speak to someone.

I know others have had success in the past combining limits, but I have read chatter that they are no longer allowing this. Make sure to keep us updated, as I am interested in doing this as well.
