No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Besides the obvious stuff like returned payments, missing payments, etc.
what are some of the lesser known things that can land you in trouble with your card issuer?
Not lesser known, carrying too high of a balance.
Lesser known, not using a card for more than 6 months.

I would possibly have swapped those two. But to non forum members, they are probably both a surprise.

There are many things concerned with reward "abuse", and some issuers are more sensitive than others.
Churning for SUBs is one example, where many issuers have now introduced rules limiting how often you can get a SUB, linking families of cards together (so only one SUB in that family) or just at times denying you a SUB when applying (Amex). Amex may also claw back a SUB if you close the card too soon after getting one.
Manufactured Spending is another major dislike, as you can basically make uncapped rewards. Again, issuers vary with their tolerance (or perhaps ability to detect)
Carrying a balance on which you've only been making minimum payments several months in a row.
Avoid any crypto or precious metals purchases.
I appreciate you guys taking the time to post. Honestly these all seem like super obvious no no's. I was talking more in the realm of things you got in trouble for that you had no idea were "bad"
Like for example, let's say you got in trouble for using your card too much when you first got it. That's something you wouldn't think was "bad"
or making multiple payments In a Month. Some people say that's unnecessary and can actually be detrimental and others say they have been making 10 payments a month for years and never had an issue.
Anything like that

Some issuers are more sensitive to others. It would be helpful if you listed the cards you have in question ...
Let's use the big names as examples
amex
cap one
citi
chase
us bank
any stories you have are welcome, just be sure to include the details and which card issuer you dealt with when you post.
My wife has Not used her Amex or BofA cards in over 5 years. They are active with no inactivity warnings.
