The Magnet card is an odd choice to "maximize the cash back rewards" as it is only 1.5%.   But if you love Amex more than getting 2%, fine!

If you have Netflix, Amazon Prime or some other streaming services, it's actually 5% back on restaurants/bars & 4% on travel once you spend at least $5K on the card during the year.  There's a $50 streaming credit once you hit $5K.

I’ve just been thinking about this. I’ve always had a wish of cards that I’ve wanted, but never thought I’d get. Now that I have a Navy Federal Go Rewards Signature Visa and a Discover card, I actually have hope I can check a few more off my credit card bucket list.

• Navy Federal Cash Rewards MC and the Flagship Visa. Gotta have the NFCU hat trick. I’ll probably app for the cash rewards in March after I hit 6 months with my Go Rewards.
• Amex revolver- either Cash Magnet or Blue Cash Everyday.
• Amex charge- no clue which one.
• Discover- Yes, I have one but it is a secured Chrome. I’d eventually like to have the Miles card someday.

I always thought I wanted a Chase Sapphire of some sort, but they seem a touchy so I think I’m scared off- at least for now.

No it's not!   If I spend $100K on dining, and say $50 on streaming, I'm getting $4051 in rewards (assuming I get 2% on the $50 streaming) which is much nearer 4% than 5%.   It's always 4%/3% with a possibility of an additional $50, which is only big on smallish spends.

I’m in the garden for a long time, but I’d love the USAA rewards card for 5% back on gas. I’d also like to have the ULTA card, but only if I could get it with a SP via SCT 😂
