I opened up a Barclay's Cash Forward MasterCard on 11/14/2017.
When should I ask for my first CLI? 3/6/9/12 months???
Also, I've seen people here that said to call about APR reduction and then CLI as that should result in a SP instead of a HP...
Is this true?

Ask at 6 months via the apr reduction method. This has worked for me twice. Both times received the apr reduction and cli with a sp.

Never ask for a CLI online with Barclays, it's always hard pull.
There is a convoluted method of trying to get a soft pull CLI, but in my view it's groveling... and not worth doing.
They will sometimes give you an auto CLI, at 6 month intervals, if the account gets some use, but not too much use. They're a very peculiar company.

Corect me if I’m wrong - the apr reduction method is where after 6 months you request an apr redux and slide in the cli request, yet what if the apr is not reduced? Do you still request the cli? Also, if you’ve received an auto cli at six months, can the apr redux method still work?
It won’t hurt to ask. If the apr is not reduced or is reduced, simply ask if there are any other offers available, such as, a cli.
No groveling required.
South Jamaica,

I plan on using this card (around 3K/mo) and make multiple payments while leaving a small to no balance (under 500.00) to be reported.
Is this recommended?
Been a card memeber for 3 years now. From 1k to 16K in that time. Just use the card regularly AND BARCLAYS will take care of you.
Nice increase...
Were they mostly auto CLIs or did you initiate them yourself?
