Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
No I coud not show income that was the very first thing I said in my post. I did not have any income for the first year I was able to apply for credit.
This post rubs me the wrong way. It feels like kind of a pointless post designed to impress people. I'm happy for you but I don't see how it helps anyone else on the boards. And the question is silly.
200K is more than a "decent" income.
A little off topic maybe
How do I get my 24 and 19 year old out of the house and get them each to earn 3 X what I make in a year?
Just wondering...... Any advice would be appreciated.
Edit: One completed college and the other one is in his 2nd. year. I must of screwed up some where.
When people post here with limits in the high 100k's, they have income well into the millions. It is decent when compared with the credit I have been given. If I made $30k/year I would not have CC's with high limits. Period. Decent in terms of my limit, but just for the record, its top 5%.

I feel Like he's providing a rather interesting look into Fico. While he has quite impressive income for his age and (by his own admission) is stating he doesn't have the age of file to prove he can handle that type of responsibility. It is a very well written post and it's actually poses a very good question.
I'd guess the explanation is one of two things or a combination:
The situation of starting out at 19y.o. with a $200K tax return is so unusual, the credit card app
algorithms don't have that fully progammed to factor into the decisions.
or
The OP has something working for him outside of his credit report. There are several explanations
for that kind of income, but outside of pro athlete or rap star, almost all the rest involve family business
connections. I'd guess that most likely the major factor is family business connections. I'd guess that
AU status on a couple +$100K 2 decade cards isn't the only favorable factor from family history.
It is interesting the issuers aren't a little slower with major CLI for a 19y.o., even considering the reported
income.
$12.5K is a "measly" limit?
