Ditto to calling. I do recall one poster in the past asking about Penn State, and calling, and she didn't qualify as a graduate. I guess they don't participate.
hauling, when will you finally have access to your ex fico score? it seems to be taking awhile. i cant wait to see it!
Me, either!
I'm still plowing through the membership process, since I was unable to print out my app. They mailed it to me, received Wednesday, returned today.
Once I'm officially a member, I then have to wait for my monthly statement, which is where they show the scores, AFAIK. So I suppose it could be at the end of this month, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was some time in December instead.
I have to say, I'm awfully curious, because I haven't known my EX FICO since Feb 2009, and a lot has changed since then!

You get your EX score every month. This might be the cheapest credit score monitoring service that you'll ever signup for.
Oh I understand what you're saying and it really is a good deal but I'm just not interested. My TU and EQ scores are high enough and I'm confident my EX score has not declined in the last year. As long as I continue to do the right things my scores will do just fine and I will only check them perhaps twice a year or so.
From a BK years ago to:
EX - 9/09 pulled by lender 802, EQ - 10/10-813, TU - 10/10-774
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem".
It's 26 bucks for life and 5 of those dollars you get to keep. As far as I know you do NOT have to renew the membership to keep getting your scores. That is cheap and while not as generous as NFCU with limits I hear they are a bunch easier than Penfed.
You will need to sign up for the FICO via a few mouse clicks. You need to give them permission to pull the report. BTW they pulled hard and soft on EX they do not pull Chex as far as I have heard. The number that you will see when you app (your account number) is your member number too. So if you wrote your pin number and your password down you will be able to view your online account nearly immediately if you funded via ACH into checking.
If you think you messed up and forgot to sign up initially for a checking account just call them up as soon as possible and ask that it be aded and be sure to request a check card. The few CSR I spoke to were very nice.
This CU is a no brainer for anyone in the least bit interested in seeing all your scores. I mean it's bad enuf we are forced to buy TU98. While their Visa is not a rewards card it does carry a very favorable under 10% APR. Limits are 20K and from what I have heard they are generous. Go for this.

I didn't write down the account number during application, but I sent it in and a few days later I got a letter from them with a copy of my application asking me to sign and return it. It does not have an account number on it, but it does have a reference number in the form 2719XXXXXX up at the top. Would this be the account number to access my account online once it is set up? I tried logging in this AM but it said invalid login when I tried to use that number. Wondering if it isn't the account number, or if I am just not set up yet.
Thanks

You're probably not set up yet but the account/member number is a 10 digit number. Mine starts with 8.
Gaaah-- I finally got my membership number in the mail, and now the online access login is "experiencing technical difficulties."
They're thanking me for my patience.
At least I've had the sense to save my member number this time!
